Objects Become Art

I got thinking this morning that one of the big problems of teaching kids remotely is their lack of materials. To make sure our lessons are inclusive we often plan for the children that have the least. That can lead to repetitive lessons with lots of drawing and not much experimentation.

But what if we get kids to see the things they find in their homes as possibilities for art? What if we teach kids to start from looking at objects and materials around them and imagine the art they could create instead?

This PowerPoint starts kids on that journey opening up loads of possibilities for teachers to build upon.
