Graffiti Art Gallery
The images here are examples I've created to help students over several years. I am often influenced by other themes I'm covering in art, such as Cubism, Pattern Design or the Word and Image journals of Teesha Moore. Graffiti Art is always evolving. More often known as Street Art, Graffiti Art has mingled and evolved with a range of art styles over the years since it was first seen in the spray can writing of Philadelphia and New York. It is important to learn from Graffiti's roots. It is also important for students to develop their own originality, drawing influence from art and culture from the present and the past.
There are lots of better examples around than the ones I have shown here. I don't include any images I don't have copyright for. Links to useful images and sites will be included within each stage of the Graffiti Art Project.
NOTE: apologies for having my name on so many. I'm just used to using my own name to demonstrate techniques to my classes.
